Our New Puppies! Rescued from Apartment Fire & Neglect

The other night I was scavenging on facebook to make up for the human social contact that I am otherwise lacking in. I saw a post that Jay made about DHR receiving a batch of pit puppies and a mom that were rescued from a fire along with a bunch of other pitbulls that were severely neglected & either being kept for fighting or "backyard" breeding. The little guys arrived today! They are absolutely adorable and the momma dog is just a JOY.
We have three girls and a boy - since they were rescued by firefighters we decided to name the boy pup after Wilma's dad Steve - except we used his Greek  name "Stavros"! The momma and girls were then named after Greek/Roman Goddesses: Momma is Persephone and the girls are Artemis, Aphrodite and Athena (I think I got all 3 right). They are wonderful adorable little boogers and their eyes just recently opened...baby blue!
Here is their story:

Persephone stepping out of the truck into Jay's arms.
Persephone is SO sweet! All she wants to do is sit in your lap and kiss you.

MOAR
Look at those tubby butts
They're about the size of beanie babies
Mama is so emaciated and hungry...we're feeding her tiny little meals so as to not shock her system
Can't get her to sit still without licking
Look at those tiny claws
No way to stop the licking
Such a sweet faced girl
She is literally skin, bones and mammary glands
Tiny little tails
Squirming for warm
