3-11-11 Post #3 (Rescues Post 2) - The Soak

Megan and I decided to spend some time today washing our Maltese Rescues: Huxley, London and Orwell. After we started having two black labs (Homer and Conrad) come in, I was inspired to name our new rescues after authors.
So I got to thinking, who is epic enough (and well known enough) to have a dog named after them? I wanted to use names like (George R.R.) Martin, (Chuck) Palahniuk, (David) Sedaris and (Jonathan Safran) Foer - just to name a a few of my personal favourites - but then I figured 90% of people probably won't get the reference.

So I went back to the basics. (Aldous) Huxley, (Jack) London - ....sigh....- and (George) Orwell. Here are the before and after photos.
Kind of in a stupid order because I'm too exhausted to photoshop before+after into one photo - also because the dogs are sort of hard to tell apart once they're not wearing collars :(

Here is my semi-station where I took their photos. It's a pseudo-backdrop! My first experience using a backdrop. Womp womp.
